Alex Pall And The Rise Of The Chainsmokers

INTERVIEW magazine’s Mathias Rosenzweig sat down with the Chainsmokers’s Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall in an informative Q&A for the magazine’s July publication. Mathias’s objective was to understand the unique approach that the two men have taken with their focus on the electronic dance genre. Many in this field will produce the sound material but often outsource other artists for vocals. Taggart and Pall’s efforts are to produce the music and the vocals, making their sound one-hundred percent original to their brand. They have worked with upcoming star HALSEY on their hit track CLOSER and spoke highly of the young artist’s talent. Other tracks focusing on the two men’s creation of their own identity are DON’T LET ME DOWN and ROSES.

While working in New York City as a DJ, Alex Pall’s passion for dance and electronic music was at the forefront of his daily agenda. He attended a local art gallery with his manager, who was an acquaintance of both Pall and Taggart at the time and would introduce them. They both to a liking to each other and immediately starting collaborating in Pall’s New York City apartment. Their mission as a duo is to bring their respective talents to the work and continue to reinvent themselves. Often in the electronic/dance genre, much of the music tends to replicate other beats and sounds from other artists. Taggart and Pall wanted to keep their fan base engaged with the music, but not represent other sound that is overplayed by the masses. This is why they are highly involved in the writing of the music as well as bringing in song writers to work with as well.

Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart’s mission is to continue to push themselves to the limits of their creative ability. The music is only one portion of the overall picture that they want to convey to their audience. Music videos, going on live tours, and constantly changing the theme of those performances will continue to be their main focus. They intend on staying in the business as long as possible and having the ability to come out with fresh ideas will guarantee a fan base that will keep coming back for years to come.

Meghan Overcame Her Nerves To Sing With Harry

Meghan Trainer may have many fans now and be quickly gaining fame, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t still get starstruck. When she met Harry Styles she says that she had butterflies in her stomach. But what girl wouldn’t? The One Direction singer is loved by many girls and not so long ago Meghan Trainer was just like any of them.

YouTube said but, she must have quickly put away her nerves because she and Harry recorded a song together. She said that she was nervous to sing in front of him, but I’m sure that she did great and it will be interesting to hear the song when it comes out. These two singers are great songwriters as well, and it is sure to be a great track.

So, we should applaud Meghan for overcoming her nerves and singing in front of Harry so that we can get some new music fro the two of them. The track that the two of them recorded together is sure to be a hit.

Janelle Monae Returns

With a signature look and sound, Janelle Monae knows how to move a crowd. She is back with a new single called “Yoga” that really moves the crowd. It is a continuation of the hip sound that she has become associated with.

What Monae has done is carve out her own style. She was with a couple of different labels before she discovered a place for her style. In the beginning she was associated with Big Boi and Andre 3000. Behance said that was a good place for her to start. She is like a kindred spirit with Andre 3000, but she would not stay long with this group.

She moved under the guidance of P.Diddy, but this union would be severed as well. It was after this that she would catapult to fame with “Tight Rope.” This became the single that would carry her over into the mainstream of pop music. Now she is back with more of this signature sound with “Yoga.”

This is another super track that bounces with high energy. People have come to expect this with Janelle. It would be difficult for her to release any type of ballad. This is not what she is known for.
